We are ideally located halfway between Acadia National Park on Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park at Schoodic Point. We are 45 minutes from downtown Bar Harbor and just off scenic Route 1 to "Downeast" Maine. The cottages are fully equipped for housekeeping, with washer, dryer and wood stove. They sleep up to 7 people. We are in an excellent area for hiking, biking, kayaking and berry picking. Walk to Jellison Cove on Frenchman's Bay or explore the nearby woods and fields. Blueberry Cottage renters can access Wi-Fi in the driveway, but not inside the cottage.

The Cottage
This sweet 2 bedroom cottage is located in Steuben on Pigeon Hill Bay and sits approximately 30 feet from the ocean’s edge. If you get up early you will see the most beautiful sunrises on the eastern seaboard, as the sun rises over the water. The cottage is rustic, with an open kitchen, living room and dining area with hardwood floors. The large picture window in the living area offers views of the harbor. Enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner in the screened in porch while watching local fisherman and other boats come and go.

The cottage has 2 bedrooms, one with a king size bed downstairs and one with a double bed and a twin bed upstairs. The cottage sleeps up to 5 people. There is a full bathroom and the cottage kitchen has everything you need to cook meals. All linens are provided and the cottage is heated with a gas fired stove.

Hodgkins Haven The Area
We are located next door to the Petit Manan Wildlife Refuge. We are about an hour from Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor on Mount Desert Island. We are just a short distance from the entrance to the lesser well known but very beautiful part of Acadia National Park at Schoodic Point, as well as the Public Reserve Lands at Donnell’s Pond and Tunk Lake.

Major Grocery shopping is available in either Milbridge 10 minutes away, or Ellsworth, about a half hour away. There are many fun antique stores, local eateries, little museums and other downeast Maine attractions located nearby in the small Maine villages up and down the coast.

I am renting the apartment for two in my home in Maine this summer. I live in Hancock, Maine, 15 miles past Ellsworth and quite near Bar Harbor. My cabin, East Lodge, is in the woods, overlooking Frenchman Bay, a short walk from the beach at Jellison Cove, and about half an hour from Mt Desert Island, home of Acadia National Park where there are multitudes of things to do for young and old, also just a simple skip to Schoodic, the less populated part of the Acadia Park system. Come and see beautiful Maine.

Rates: $100 to $125 per night (minimum stay - 3 nights), weekly rates available. Most weeks are still available.

Cozy cottage at the head of MDI. Two to three bedrooms, two bathrooms. Two queen size bedrooms, two baths, and two sitting rooms, great for two couples. Convertible futon couch in sitting room turns into double bed for the kids. There's also a dining area and an efficient and well equipped galley style kitchen. Towels, linens and laundry machines are all provided. Games, stereo, wifi and cable TV available. There are no neighbors but there is a little general store within walking distance if you need milk, etc. or a quick take-out lunch. There are also kayaks to rent at the nearby KOA campground. Travel back over the bridge just a hop and a skip for the best steamed lobster you may ever eat. They have picnic tables and also serve delicious chowder, steamed clams, or lobster sandwiches.
